Seeing alot of venues around Perth, us DJs get to see the inner workings and behind the scenes of what makes a venue work. And while most guests judge on a purely visual basis, we have been around the block a few times to know how it really stacks up.
This new series is designed to give our OPINION on the venue from a DJ's point of view. It is not meant in slanderous manner and remember to ALWAYS may up your own mind. I give a "DJ Recommendation" on what us vendors see and a "Bridal Recommendation" which is based solely on what a bride and groom would see
Rose and Crown
105 Swan Street Guildford WA 6055, (08) 9279 8444www.rosecrown.com.au Getting married and having your reception in a 160 year old hotel is sure to be a talking point amongst your guests, and even though it’s been around that long, the style and facilities don’t show like that at all!The Rose and Crown is stunnging for both ceremonies and receptions, having 6 function rooms inside and 4 outdoor ceremony areas, no matter what size function the Rose and Crown can accommodate. Excluding the Cellar room, all of the function areas are both easy and assessable for patrons and DJs alike (The Cellar is looks great but the steps downstairs can be difficult for some). The grounds of the Rose and Crown are beautiful all year round and all the rooms have a historical feel mixed in with modern décor. The food is delicious and the staff are always friendly both towards patrons and suppliers and they always go above and beyond the call of duty to ensure you and your guests have a great night. The only disadvantage is that amplified music must be turned off by 11:00pm as it is in a residential area, but a 5 hour function or an earlier 6 hour one is more than enough time for you and your guests to tear up the dance floor
